CIBC Accident Protection Plan

CIBC Accident Protection Plan provides coverage in the event of an injury or death from an accident.CIBC Accident Protection Plan policy holders  benefit from one or both of the following depending on the options chosen at the time the policy was purchased:

A lump sum coverage amount paid to your beneficiaries in case of your Accidental Death.

This includes the annual Bonus Benefit, an amount equal to 1% of your Accidental Death Benefit amount that will be added to your Accidental Death coverage annually on the anniversary of your effective date of coverage¹.

Daily coverage option paid to you in case of hospitalization resulting from an accident.

This includes daily coverage amounts of $100, $150, $200 or $300 per day of your hospital stay.

Your premium rate is based on the coverage amount that you choose, and can start as low as $5.95 per month for $100 per day coverage.

What is not covered?

• Sickness, disease, natural causes (regardless of how acquired) or medical or surgical treatment
• Suicide or any self-inflicted injury, regardless of whether you intended or understood the consequences of your actions
• War, declared or undeclared, riot or civil commotion, insurrection or hostilities of any kind
• No benefit will be paid if your policy is declared void because you misrepresented or failed to disclose a material fact, or you committed fraud in connection with your policy
